Stirling Court Rooms and Debtors' Prison 1806
'These wonderful plans show Stirling Court Rooms and Debtors' prison in 1806. Note the arrest room, staff accommodation and solitary cell. There are no obvious washing facilities and only one loo! There are not too many cells, so either they were not expecting too many debtors in Stirling or this was a holding area before they were sent elsewhere. (Chosen by Pam McNicol, Stirling Council Archivist)'.
