The next meeting of the Society will be on 30th March at 7.30pm in the Smith Art Gallery and Museum.
The speaker will be Andy McEwan, who will talk about “The Legacy of John Allan, Architect”. John Allan was one of Stirling's most distinctive architects and, in connection with the 150th anniversary of his birth, the Society is also producing a leaflet and a booklet about his life and work. As part of the events, the University Archives is holding an Open Doors Day, on Saturday 18 March. Opening up the Archive: 50 years of life on campus will provide an opportunity for visitors to explore the University’s own archives which trace the growth and development of the campus.
