Charlie Edward Lynch is conducting research at the University of Glasgow into changing attitudes to sexuality in Scotland in the 1960s and 1970s. He is seeking volunteers who recall the 1960s and 1970s for anonymous interviews.
You can find further background and contact details via this link. This summer, Stirling Local History Society is embarking on a new project to identify the stone used in Stirling's buildings and trace them back to their source quarries. We will be working with Scotland's Urban Past and the British Geological Survey. It will involve survey work and also archival research.
But you don't need to be an expert on buildings or historical research to take part. There are more details on the Projects page of the this website. The aim is to build towards a fuller understanding of how Stirling has come to look the way it does - how that relates to stone supplies and transport, for example. We need volunteers (you don't need to be a member) So, if you are interested you can contact the society by email ([email protected]) or Stephen Digney ([email protected]). |
